SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY

Dr. MYRA MIDDLETON-VALENTINE, CHAIR

Ministry Mission Statement:   The mission of the Scholarship Ministry is to serve God, family and community through endeavors which promote positive self-esteem and high academic achievement among the youth of the Church.

 

Spiritual Requirement of Members:   Must be an active financial member of the Church and participate in a Church ministry for growth and understanding of the teachings of the Bible. Must exhibit characteristics of a Christian who understands the teachings and beliefs of  the Mt.Calvary Baptist Church.

 

Policy Requirement of Members:

1. Exhibits an interest in young people.

2. Has an interest, experience or background related to education and/or scholarship.

3. Demonstrates a willingness to serve.

 

Service Requirement of Members:

1. Attends scheduled meetings regularly.

2. Makes contributions to the Ministry.

3. Assists in planning and implementation of activities.
